Alectro got its start in the Fall of 2016 when the founders realized the advantages of using underutilized land for solar power production. Since then, we have been developing our solar implementation strategy, consulting with professionals, and striving towards defining solar for the twenty-first century.
At Alectro our mission is to help accelerate the transition to renewable energy. We do so by designing and implementing large scale solar projects. We find large sources of underutilized and uninhabitable land to transform into energy producing land.
Earlier this year we were selected as finalists for the Sabin Sustainable Ventures Prize at Startup Yale. A large hurdle to overcome, as the only all-undergraduate team to qualify.
